Alpbach joined with Wildschonau forming the ski Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau back in 2012, fusing together the resorts of Niederau, Oberau, Auffach and Alpbach and it has now ranked the new Ski Juwel in the top 10 Tirolean ski resorts.With 145 km of ski runs skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the well-groomed pistes and the stunning panoramic views reaching heights of 2,025m.
The ski season runs from December through to April and offers skiing and snowboarding runs to suit every standard. From getting your first snow legs right through to advanced levels, you’ll find every terrain for your ski groups needs here. With exceptional Austrian hospitality there are friendly bars and restaurants located both on the mountain and down in the valley suitable for all tastes.
Niederau

Known as one of the most picturesque valleys in the Alps, the villages of both Alpbach and Wildschonau are home to scenic, traditional wooden chalets and great hospitality. All villages offer exciting and relaxing winter activities with amazing backdrops of the snowy peaks and a more relaxing holiday experience
The main resort in the Wildschönau valley is the scenic village of Niederau. It’s a firm favourite amongst beginner and intermediate skiers as well as families thanks to its short transfer from Innsbruck airport, award winning ski schools and fantastic nursery slopes. Enjoy more of a chilled après ski scene, a traditional village charm and excellent snow conditions.
A quaint village feel, Auffach appeals to those looking for a reserved ski holiday and claims the sunniest slopes in the valley.
Enclosed in a pine forested setting, Alpbach is an ideal resort for beginners and arguably the most beautiful resort in Austria with over 100 farms and traditional stone and wood buildings.
Skiing in Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau
On just one lift pass you have access to145km of pistes made up of 32 km of blue, 78 km red and 18 km of black runs. The 47 ski lift gives you access to the mountains incredible skiing terrain with both gentle and demanding slopes.
For skiers who haven't hit the slopes in a while there are various ski and snowboarders schools including Ski Juwel’s Technique Improvement Programs giving skiers the chance to improve on their skills and to regain lost confidence. In the centre of Oberau there are 2 drag lifts perfect for beginners plus there are also brilliant areas in Niederau for first timers and beginners.
There are three snow-parks: Snow Park Alpbachtal, Family Park Schatzberg and Race’n Boarder Arena. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels can enjoy beginner kickers, rainbow boxes, pros kickers, kinked boxes, halfpipes and more.
With 300 snow cannons skiers can be confident that there will be snow throughout the season with over two thirds of all pistes has snow making facilities.

With its traditional ski villages and spectacular skiing for all levels Ski Juwel is a great for families ski holidays. The Fairytale Meadow gives access to snowy play areas and igloos perfect for introducing kids first feet to the snow.
