Located in a remote corner of Colorado is the ski resort of Crested Butte. Situated at 1500 meters above sea level and with all pistes above 2500 meters, skiing is assured all season.
Big, open and uncrowded, Crested Butte has 85 runs, spread over 1,160 acres, offering a good mixture of beginner and intermediates slopes. However, Crested Butte has become renowned as a true winter’s paradise for all extreme skiers and boarders. It offers challenging terrain with many steeps, couloirs and trees, at the top of the mountain is the 448 acres of terrain known as "Extreme Limits". The title of Crested Butte as “freerider’s heaven” has also been highlighted by the resort hosting several US Extreme Snowboarding Championships. There is also a major off-piste area for all powder enthusiasts.
