Lake Placid ski resort
The most popular ski area in the resort is Whiteface Mountain, where there is more than 283 acres of skiable terrain, 86 pistes and the biggest vertical drop across the whole of the east coast.
Just a short drive away from Lake Placid, the area is well-regarded for its amazing panoramic mountain scenery, excellent terrain and amazing ski schools.
