Major improvements to come in Sölden
The 8-seater chairlifts (both fitted with bubbles) will replace the current 4-seater versions of the Einzeiger and Silberbrünnl lifts, upping the capacity to 4,000 and 3,800 skiers per hour respectively - compared to the previous rates of 2,400 and 2,650 skiers per hour.
Meanwhile, the valley runs 7 and 22, which are on the way back into Sölden village, will have their gradient eased in key places to ensure less experienced skiers can make it home more easily - although this won’t be ready until the start of the 2026/27 season.

€115m of investment in Morzine promised over next 25 years…
The most notable is probably the Nyon Express, a planned cable car which will take skiers from the centre of Morzine all the way to the Nyon Plateau - cutting out a longer (although still very beautiful!) route up. This is planned to be ready by the 2028/29 season.
Various chairlifts have been earmarked for replacement, while there will also be two new giant ziplines over the Nyon Plateau and Pleney. The first section will be ready in 2027, and the second by 2031 - with the combination of the two resulting in one of the world’s longest ziplines.
A rail-based toboggan is also expected to be built, which should be usable in all four seasons.

…plus €100m to be spent on Les Gets in next 17 years
The Chavannes chairlift will be replaced at some stage, while the Rosta and Grains d’Or chairlifts will both be replaced by a brand new eight-seater, which takes under three minutes.
Skiers will be encouraged over to the Mont Chery area with the improvement of the existing gondola, as well as introduction of a new blue run from the summit of Mont Chery.
There’ll also be a brand new indoor complex in the Perrières area - although exact details are not yet known.

Les Arcs’s ‘Transarc Metamorphosis’ to be complete for 2025/26 season
The facility will also include toilets, and various play areas, such as a slide and small climbing wall - as well as the stunning views. It is at the top of the Arc 2000 ski circus.
The mineral gallery at the mid-station of the Transarc gondola is also expanding its collection of rare stones and rocks. It gives skiers the chance to learn about the geological history of the area.
The Transarc gondola starts in Arc 1800, and was completely rebuilt for the start of the 2024-25 season, decreasing the time spent on board from 20 minutes down to 13 minutes.
