Great Place - 08/04/2019

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in for skiing. Great location with wonderful views. The dining room has a panoramic view of Mont Blanc. The food was buffet style, with choices, all beautifully cooked. The staff were all absolutely lovely and the hotel was clean and comfortable.

Great Hotel, priced accordingly, excellent staff, food spot on. Our room was good overlooking Mt Blanc. Chamonix is a pricey area and this Hotel gives good value within the Chamonix district. Would return.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay but we and other guests thought it might be an idea to have a live music evening in chelet hotels such as this whee there is a reaosnably large clientele.? Position of hotel and condcut of staff was terrific.

Average accommodation in a great location made fab by wonderful staff! - 14/03/2015
Overall

We have just come back from a great week in Chamonix. As beginners we were advised by Iglu to book into a chalet. Good advice. The accommodation/rooms are very basic with not much room to dry stuff, but the bathrooms have recently been refurbished to a good modern standard, so 2 things make Sapiniere - the wonderful location opposite the nursery slopes with breathtaking views, and the staff. As total beginners I would advise to play/learn on the slopes of Le Tour at Domaine de Balme (a 30 min bus ride away). I would also advise to leave the blue slopes next to Stade on Brevent until the end as they are more like reds (well - we thought so!). However, the views are stunning and worth going up for the Apres. The bus network is easy to use and navigate, so make the effort to get about. 5 minute walk into Chamonix where there are a range of bars and places to eat as well as numerous ski shops. Back to Sapiniere; we received a warm welcome from a friendly hard working team. They are a credit to Resort/Iglu and made us feel very welcome and looked after.
