Harriet didn't seem to want to be there, and made minimal effort really. Food was mediocre, and we ate out after the first meal. I noticed cooked food was left out uncovered all day, and other guests had tummy upsets. Kitchen floor very grubby and greasy. Our room was up in the eves, with dormer windows accessed by a very narrow staircase, with no other fire exit. The bathroom was at the bottom of the stairs, with no wash-basin and no bin in the bedroom. Meribel was a great resort, however, and the Chalet was potentially nice, but avoid the top room.

Tracey & Linley - 02/04/2014
Overall

We stayed at Chalet Lys Blanc from 23rd March 2014 to 30th March 2014. Our chalet hosts Lucy and Suzanne were very welcoming. The chalet was tidy and comfortable and the sauna was a bonus. The chalet is well positioned - a 10 minute walk downhill into town and a 200m walk up to the Morel chairlift in the morning. The standard of food was excellent and plentiful and the unlimited wines were of reasonable quality. Our resort rep Rachel visited each evening and was friendly and helpful. Meribel and the 3 valleys is a fantastic ski area, with plenty of choice for all levels of skiers. Temperatures reached 15 degrees towards the end of our week. The home runs were slushy but the conditions on the higher runs were excellent. We booked last minute, so we were pleased with the extremely good value for the money we paid.

Thoms Family Review - 11/04/2011
Overall

We stayed at the Chalet Lys Blanc from 3 April 2011 to 10 April 2011. Our chalet hosts Sophie & Jack were very welcoming and friendly. The chalet itself was clean, comfortable and oozing with charm. The standard of food was truly five star and the unlimited quality wines went down a treat. We were very impressed with our operator. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their area manager Amanda visited us each evening. This is the second year we have been to Meribel & would certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of ski-ing late in the season as we do. Even with temperatures soaring at 25 degrees, the snow conditions on the higher slopes were very good and excellent at Val Thorens. good value at the money paid.
