Hotel Victoria, Borovets, Bulgaria

Very nice and clean hotel. Very traditional with pleasant and helpful staff. Room was spacious and we got a balcony too. Food overall was of a good standard and varied choice. Hotel prices matched those in the resort. Resort full of similar bars offering the same foods but overall good little resort. Slopes are very beginner friendly which was excellent for us as we were total beginners. Boro sport ski school is who we would recommend and if you are lucky enough to get Emil as your instructor then you will be in brilliant hands. The only draw back is the walk (everyday) up hill to the ski depot and then the excruciating walk up to the Rila slope in your ski boots (which kill your legs) but after a few days it gets easier. I was not keen on skiing or bulgaria but i would most definitely return thanks to good hotel, fantastic skiing with a brilliant teacher. Overall we had a great time and will return.
