Yllas Log Cabin
Nestled within the snow-covered fells of Finnish Lapland, the Ylläs Log Cabins offer an authentic Arctic escape in the traditional village of Äkäslompolo. Spread across this peaceful resort, which boasts Finland's highest accessible vertical drop and 330 kilometres of pristine cross-country skiing tracks, the cabins range from secluded woodland retreats to properties closer to the village centre.
Each unique cabin is expertly insulated against the Arctic Circle chill, featuring choices of traditional round pine or modern flat-planed timbers across semi-detached, end-of-terrace, and terraced layouts. Designed for couples, families, or larger groups, these properties intentionally lack Wi-Fi to encourage complete disconnection.
After a day of husky sledding, reindeer safaris, snowmobiling, or snowshoeing, guests can unwind in their own private sauna and gather around the open fireplace. Positioned in an area with minimal light pollution, these cabins provide an exceptional vantage point for witnessing the vibrant Northern Lights dance across the night sky, completing a classic winter wonderland holiday.
