Chalet La Vieille Forge Reviews
La Vieille Forge is located next to the fire station in Courchevel on the main high street so easy access to the town of Courchevel quality shops & night life. The entrance is on the ground floor of the building & you get a lift up to the chalet. On entering you will be very happy with the way the chalet is set up. The rooms are spacious there is a great lounge area to enjoy. The dinning area has a log fire to enjoy & what I can only describe as one of the best high chairs adults or kids can play or relax on. The staff go out the way to look after you & there is lots of quality food on offer. The chalet is in a great location for the main lifts of Couchevel 1850 so you can enjoy the full Three Valley experience. So if your looking for quality chalet in a great location try La Vieille Forge for a great Three Valley ski experience with a touch of quality

Mr Nigel Oconnell
We booked through Iglu Ski but chalet is managed by Ski Total. I really got the impression that the Courchevel team view guests as a necessary but irritating inconvenience. Our chalet hostess was great but she was really let down by the organisation behind her. Supplies not delivered so she ran out of essentials. Television didn’t work and no serious attempt to fix. The boot warming rack not functional although we got it working by buying our own extension lead, Ski Total made on attempt to fix. When we booked we were told that twins would be made up to be doubles but upon arrival not possible, no linen. Ski Total blamed Iglu Ski. Upon arrival, we couldn't get entry as we weren't given access code to building, luckily, we tripped over a staff member while we were wondering what to do. Although we paid for transfers, we took a more convenient private transfer to the resort but were refused normal transfer to return as local rep didn't take the trouble to confirm we had paid. Excuses for non-performance were reminiscent of excuses school kids, for example, I left my phone somewhere so didn't get any calls today, van broke down so couldn't ........ and so on. People would simply appear in the chalet to make social calls and our hostess had been instructed to prepare meals for other staff members so we found that a side door was being left open for them.
