Welcoming guests since the 1940s, Olarsgården Hotel blends Swedish tradition with easy access to the slopes. Wrapped in classic dark wood cabin architecture, stepping inside reveals an authentic, warm atmosphere with a welcoming fireplace. Morning ski runs start effortlessly, as the Fasanen lift is just a short stroll away, connecting you straight into Sälen’s extensive Lindvallen ski area.
Back inside, bedrooms continue the homely aesthetic with warm terracotta tones, deep wooden features, vintage sledges, and nostalgic ski photography. Unwinding after a day on the mountain is simple: relax in the traditional sauna or head to the lounge bar for drinks and occasional live music.
Mornings begin with a hearty buffet breakfast featuring warm classics like eggs, bacon, and freshly made waffles alongside cereals, fresh fruit, and pastries. Later, the renowned Elgen Restaurant serves authentic Dalarna specialities, highlighting local flavours from rich game dishes to foraged mushrooms and wild berries.
