Iglu Ski is proud to support DSUK, a snowsports charity with a vision of barrier-free access to the ski slopes. Their mission is to make snowsports accessible to everyone, and we’ve made it our mission to help them do that.
Through our own fundraising initiatives and thanks to the generous donations from our customers, we can help DSUK to provide adaptive lessons, incredible trips, and thrilling experiences for those who were born with or have been diagnosed with a disability, or those who have experienced a life-changing injury.
How is Iglu Ski supporting DSUK?
For the past three years, Iglu Ski has taken part in the London Marathon, running on behalf of DSUK.
In 2023, our Head of Commercial, Gordon Ritter, and Ski Sales Consultant, Lucas Lambert, raised almost £7,500 for DSUK.
In 2024, our Head of Sales, Phillip Wright, not only raised almost £2,000 for DSUK, he finished the London Marathon in under four hours - an incredible feat.
In 2025, our Senior Marketing Executive, Joe Bowler, and SEO Executive, Francesco Fuca, will be running the London Marathon on behalf of DSUK. Best of luck!
Away from the marathon, Iglu Ski also hosts regular fundraising activities in the office.
How your donations help DSUK
Together, your donations help DSUK to continue running their amazing specialist snowsports schools, trips, and experiences. However, as you can see below, every small donation makes a difference:
£2 could pay for a call with a disabled person to build their confidence for their first lesson
£5 could pay for a week of upkeep of a piece of our vital adaptive equipment
£10 could pay for a slope fee for a disabled child
£20 could pay for a specialist instructor to deliver a lesson for a group of disabled people
£50 could pay for a headset for a visually impaired skier
You can opt to donate when you book your ski holiday via our secure online payment portal, when you book through any of our ski consultants, or via the JustGiving link below.
What’s it like to have a sit ski lesson with DSUK?

Over the last few years, Iglu Ski has had several incredible opportunities to take part in a sit ski lesson at the Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead.
Members from the team have experienced first hand the tuition offered by DSUK, and what an incredible experience these lessons are to those with disabilities.
Iglu Ski’s Senior Marketing Executive, Joe, recalled:
“The feeling of sitting in a sit ski is like no other. We were first guided down the slope by an instructor and then we had a go at supporting ourselves with the riggers - a lot of fun but more difficult than it looks! I really admire the skill of those who can manoeuvre them with ease.”
