Hotel Schonblick, Soll
Expect a warm welcome from the Hofer family, who run this cosy chalet-style guesthouse in the heart of Söll.
It’s only a few minutes’ walk to the nearest lift, so getting on the slopes is nice and easy – grab your gear from the ski room and off you go. There’s a supermarket opposite the hotel, where you can pick up your essentials for a day on the mountain. And in the evening, the restaurants and bars in the village are just moments away.
You won’t find heaps of facilities here, but for anyone who wants a comfy, no-frills base for their ski holiday, this will fit the bill. There’s a small bar by the hotel reception, where you can relax with a drink and chat about the ski day. Upstairs, the bedrooms are simple and homely, with plain white walls, solid wooden furniture and a balcony, so you can step outside and enjoy views of the mountains.

Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.
