Igluski Among The Favourites At The DSUK Football Tournament

Disability Snowsports UK are holding their inaugural five-a-side football tournament next Wednesday. According to Igluski's team captain, AJ "The Butcher" Johnson, we are definitely among the favourites.

Igluski's Sales Director and team captain went on to say: "I’m not saying we’re unbeatable but I’m not expecting any of other teams entered to trouble us. A couple of injuries to team regulars such as James "Emile" Box, our goal shy second striker, has had the double benefit of allowing us to trial young blood, undoubtedly strengthening the team."

Igluski will be competing as the Iglu Freeriders — sounds like an IPL team if you ask me — and will feature CEO Richard "Goal Hanger" Downs, Seanaldinho Harrison, Dickie "Man of Steel", Tommy "2 Guns", Matty D "Greaser" and Christian "Prettyboy" Boyd. The Iglu Freeriders are essentially the ski industry's very own Match of the Day characters, with no nonsense AJ taking on the Alan Hansen role.

Disability Snowsports UK are a great charity that Iglu have supported for many years — we participate in the DSUK Santa Run every December. DSUK work to help people with any disability get to the slopes, whatever their skiing level — from complete beginners to experienced skiers.

This year's Santa Run team consists of 25 people, including Santa Run veterans Thomas Moulton, Kirsteen Fox and Sarah Strang. The Santa run involves, you guessed it, running in a Santa outfit. The course is 6km round Battersea Park, and many UK snowsport's enthusiasts turn up to run, raise money or cheer on their team — even if they can't tell who's who among the sea of red.
