La Plagne is considered the more low key resort in the Paradiski area (a 425km ski zone that includes Les Arcs), but there’s still a very lively après scene to lap up across its 10 villages.
You can find just as much table dancing, live music, and late night clubbing as anywhere else in the Alps, alongside more relaxed après opportunities, especially in the charming village of Montalbert.
There’s even a free bus that does regular runs between Bellecotte, Plagne Centre and Plagne 1800 until midnight, which makes it easy to sample the nightlife of each village regardless of where you’re staying.

Plagne Centre
Located on the Mira Blue run in Plagne Centre, La Bergerie is easily accessible to all skiers. It serves up classic après antics from 2.30pm, with live bands, DJs, table dancing, champagne spraying, and saxophonists on its expansive terrace. You can also fuel up after a big day on the slopes from its hearty menu of pasta, burgers, steaks, and salads.
Igloo Igloo is Plagne Centre’s other big party hotspot. There are DJs every night of the week at this igloo-themed bar, and you can dance and drink cold beers and cocktails until 3am. Find it at Galerie du Pelvoux.

Plagne 1800
Continuing the themed-bar theme is La Plagne 1800’s Bar La Mine, a traditional English-style pub with old mining carts for tables and pickaxes on the walls. There’s live music and DJs on several nights a week, and great deals to be had on drinks: Mojito Mondays and two for one Wednesdays are highlights. It gets very lively later on in the evening, but, if you’re on holiday with your kids, children are more than welcome earlier on. It’s also a great place to go to watch any major football or rugby games.
Plagne Bellecote
- Spitting Feathers
- Le Bonnet
Another English pub, you can find Spitting Feathers next door to the Intersport in Plagne Bellecote. Whether you’re a family or a group of friends, Spitting Feathers really does have something for everyone: great food, a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, a quiz night, a karaoke night, board games, and sporting events on the TV.
For more immediate après fun, head to Le Bonnet, which is located at the base of the pistes in Plagne Bellecote. Enjoy the party on the terrace from about 4pm and stick around for happy hour between 5pm to 7pm - just make sure to leave enough time to get the last Colossus chairlift out of there if you’re staying elsewhere.
Belle Plagne
La Saloon, located in the village of Belle Plagne, is probably the resort’s most notorious late night party spot. This Western-themed bar has three separate dance floors, where those with an outlaw spirit can enjoy live music and DJs until 5am. La Saloon opens at 4pm, but we’d recommend swinging through those saloon doors when the party really gets going a bit later on. Then, at the end of the night, the minibus can take you home so you can catch forty winks before another day on the mountain.
Alternatively, for a cosier (but not necessarily less rowdy) ambience in Belle Plagne, try La Tête Inn. It might look like a charming little log cabin, with cowhide sofas and tractor seat bar stools, but La Tête Inn is also a lively après destination. Drop by for happy hour and stay until late, with live music and free bread and pate to soak up the drinks.
Plagne Soleil
Plagne Soleil is one of the smallest of La Plagne’s villages and the perfect place to enjoy some afternoon après in spectacular surroundings. Located right on the slopes is Monica’s Pub, with a fantastic terrace from which you can enjoy that après-midi Soleil and a large selection of beers and wine. Take advantage of the lengthy happy hour (4pm to 7pm) and expect live music and DJs until the early hours. When you’re done, you can take one of several blue runs down to Plagne Centre.
Plagne Montalbert
- La Tourmente
- The White Bear
If you’re after more relaxed après vibes, you can’t go wrong with La Tourmente, a small alpine chalet with a fireplace, billiards, and “bistronomic” cuisine in the heart of the old village of Montalbert. Order a beer or vin chaud, kick back, and enjoy a spectacular view of Mont Blanc. You can also catch the latest sports on the bar’s big TVs.
The White Bear is also a great place for a chilled après in Montalbert, especially for families with kids. Enjoy Belgian beers and homemade cocktails in front of the fire, or unwind with a game of pool, table football or Mario Kart. It also has decent food and even a kids menu.
Aime La Plagne
Aime La Plagne is the highest village in the la Plagne ski area, dominated by its “Snow Ocean Liner” building. If you’re in the area, end your day on the slopes at La Rhumerie from 5pm. Open until the early hours, it specialises in rhum (hence the name) and homemade cocktails, and often has live music.
