Itinerary
Day 1 - Bergen
Encircled by seven famed mountains, Bergen offers the opportunity to explore its cultural city by segway and take its cityscape from 320 metres above sea level at the top of the Mount Fløyen. Afterwards, enjoy a dinner buffet as you sail along the Hjeltefjord.
Day 2 - Florø – Molde
An early rise the next day means for taking in the stunning Nordfjord before sailing past West Cape and then venturing into open sea. The next stop off is Ålesund where you can take a step of the cruise and discover the town.
Day 3 – Kristiansund – Trondheim – Rørvik
Follow the footsteps of the Vikings on day 3 as you wake up in the mythical Trondheim. Enjoy activities such as kayaking on the river Nid and into the city’s smaller channels, a guided tour of Nidaros Cathedral or a bicycle ride or stroll through the Bakkland district. The ship carries on northwards in the afternoon, passing the idyllic Kjeungskjær lighthouse before arriving at Rørvik.
Day 4 – Brønnøysund – Svolvær
Day 4 embarks crossing the Arctic Circle into the region of the Northern Lights. The chances of seeing awe-inspiring green infused skies are greater during the winter above this degree of latitude. Travelling up the coast of Helgeland and up to Bodø you’ll be met with the 1,000 metres high Lofoten Wall at the Lofoten Islands and its charming fishing villages. Pictures words and music are presented to capture the Northern Lights spectacle and then you’ll venture through the narrow Raftsund and stop at Trollfjord’s entrance. Freshly made fishcakes will be served on the cruise deck whilst listening to stories of winter 1890 – ‘The Battle of Trollfjord’.
Day 5 – Stokmarknes – Tromsø – Skjervøy
Arrive in Tromsø in the morning, the gateway to the Arctic. For the ultimate winter trip have a husky sleigh ride before sailing further north. Take advantage of the prime position on deck for a chance to catch the Northern Lights.
Day 6 – Øksfjord – Berlevåg
Journey towards the northernmost part of the continent, North Cape with stop offs at Hammerfest and Havøysund. Next stop on the journey is Honningsvåg which is the entryway to the North Cape. Entering North Cape unravels Gjesværstappan, the world’s most exhilarating nature reserves. During spring and summer you can join the bird watching safari where you can spot Finnmark’s largest flock of puffins and a number of kittiwakes. Continuing north, you’ll sail in the sacred hub of the Sámi people and the Finnkirka rock formation. Next stop is the fishing village of Kjøllefjord where you could be in with the chance of meeting the local fishermen who share their catch of the day on deck. You will also learn more about the Sámi people and can discover Norway’s scenic beauty on a snowmobile ride.
Day 7 – Båtsfjord – Kirkenes
An early rise can allow you to discover Vadsø before arriving in Kirkenes where you will be transported to the Snow Hotel for an unforgettable and snug overnight stay in a suite of Arctic snow and ice.
Day 8 – Kirkenes
The final day of the cruise trip can be spent partaking in the range of winter excursions available before being transferred to Kirkenes airport.
