Igluski is a company founded by skiers, when the company first started everyone here skied — including the accountant! We are now a diverse team of staff and in each department you will find skiers, snowboarders and those that do both — especially in our expert sales team. So, whether you are on a snowboarding holiday, or travelling with a mix of skiers and snowboarders, our experts will be able to find you the perfect holiday.
Though you can snowboard pretty much anywhere — there are still three resorts in the USA where it is banned — there are some resorts that cater for snowboarding better than others. But like skiing, snowboarding isn't a one-size-fits-all sport, with people preferring different aspects of the mountain. Places like Avoriaz boast the best snow parks, Tignes offers incredible on piste snowboarding and Whistler boasts amazing back-country terrain.
Deciding where to go is a key part of organising the perfect cheap snowboarding holiday, and our guide to snowboarding resorts offers more in depth information, but here are a few tips to get you going.
Best all round resorts
There are some great resorts this side of the Atlantic that offer great all round snowboarding. Great parks, good piste riding, some powder spots and, of course, good après ski (nightlife).
Best for snow parks
For the park riders out there, there are some great ski areas which offer a great choice of snowparks, international competition pedigree and, as always, a good party scene.
Best first time snowboard resorts
If you are booking your first ever snowboarding holiday, you will need good beginner slopes, maybe a small fun park, plenty of cheap accommodation and a few places for a some beers to take your mind off the bruises.
Just remember, snowboarding is meant to be fun...
