So it’s summer. You’ve packed the snowboard away, put the boots in the garage, and the pants and jacket in the top of the wardrobe... HOLD ON, unpack that snowboard, and bring the boots out again, because we’ve got something a little different for you.

Summer Snowboarding
From Zermatt in Switzerland, all the way to Tignes in France the glaciers in Europe open again for the summer, giving you the chance to get in a snowboarding holiday before the season has even begun.
So, what’s summer snowboarding all about?
Ok, first up summer snowboarding holidays are about early starts. In general, the glaciers open and shut earlier than they would during your usual winter snowboarding holidays. The sun manages to start changing the snow conditions at about 12-1pm, depending on how hot it is, which means it’s time to come off the hill.
Before then though, you can have ridden boardparks shaped by professionals, the occasional bit of powder, and blasted down the pistes - all in a T-shirt. During your summer snowboarding holiday you’ll find plenty of the top pros around in different resorts, training, testing, teaching, and you'll get the chance to ride with them too.
Once the snow gets too slushy, it’s time to head down to the town, sit in the sun and do nothing, or go mountain biking, skateboarding or if on a Tignes summer snowboarding holiday head down to Lake Annecy (2 hrs from Tignes) for a spot of wakeboarding.
