Overall

A fairly basic hotel but with fantastic views of the mountain from South facing rooms. The rooms were well maintained and clean, and comfortable, if not luxurious. Hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful, even providing us, unprompted, with a packed lunch for the trip home as we departed at 4am. The breakfast and evening meal were excellent. This is not an ideal resort for boarders as drag lifts abound but the park is excellent and the altitude means that you are snow assured. There aren't a huge amount of pistes to choose from but enough to keep one occupied for a week. The Hannig area is great for sun worshippers but beware the sledge run - it's lethal if it hasn't snowed recently. My fiancee couldn't slow down for the first corner and disappeared into space breaking 2 ribs! Apres ski is prohibitively expensive due to the appalling exchange rate so be prepared to pay £5+ a pint.

Apres-Ski 3/5
