Hotel Le Curling Reviews

I stayed with a large group of friends at the Chalet Hotel Curling for a late season trip in April 2015. The hotel is in a fantastic location with the main shops, bars and restaurants of Val Claret on the doorstep. The slopes are about 200m from the hotel, where you either get the Tufs chairlift up the mountain, or ski down to the main Bollin/Freese chairlift. The bedrooms are clean and spacious with lots of storage space and there are great views from the front facing balconies. The hotel was brilliant for a group of friends that love to ski all day and head out to the bars in the evening, it is extremely good value for money.

We were so impressed by the fantastic location of this chalet – in the centre of Val Claret, surrounded by bars and restaurants and a short walk or ski from several chair lifts. There are 2 places to collect ski hire just opposite. The chalet itself was very basic but with spacious bedrooms. The chalet hosts were very friendly and attentive and the food was good and always on time. Would definitely stay here again.

I was pleasantly surprised by how central this property is! 2-3 minute stroll to the slopes max, with your local supermarket, bars, and decent restaurants at equal distance. Pleasant staff, decent food, clean & comfortable accommodation... an all round winner for me.

We stayed in this chalet in April and although I've been to Tignes before I didn't quite realise how conveniently located this chalet is. It is seconds away from all the restaurants and apres places. One of the ski rental shops is opposite the boot room. The staff were nice and the food was good for the standard of the chalet. Breakfast and afternoon tea were always fresh and offered a good selection. We had canapes and aperitif every evening before dinner. You could choose out of 3 options at breakfast. The cheeseboard at the end is great and the wine doesn't stop until the very end (unlike in other chalets I've been to). The rooms are large, en-suite and have balconies. I was very positively surprised by the size of the rooms. Overall it is a great value option for a relatively expensive resort. I'd go back without hesitation.

The hotel is in an amazing location - the lifts, hire shops and bars are all within a 2 minute walk making it perfect for groups. The accommodation is a little basic but spacious, clean and comfortable - every room has its own balcony and there are some lovely views from the front of the hotel. The food was a bit hit and miss but the staff were lovely :)
