The best food in Sauze! - 01/09/2019
Overall

What a great hotel at a bargain price. Rally felt looked after here, especially at dinner time - wow what a lovely load of food! Rally friendly staff in this hotel and couldn’t help us enough. One evening we decided to pay and make use of the wellness area and pamper ourselves - we had the place to ourselves! We keep coming back to Sauze and haven’t chosen this place this year just as we wanted a change, fingers crossed it matches the lovely Savoia. Book it, you won’t be dissolved.

Great resort and hotel - despite a little noisy - 24/02/2018
Overall

We loved Sauze, 3 of our party of 4 were beginners so we all had lessons which was great and a good bonding experience with other skiers. Overall everyone came away happy and loving the experience. Hotel had a comfortable, relaxed feel, good friendly service and lovely plentiful food (choice from daily set menus, great risottos). Lounge / games room was good fun for family entertainment. Heated boot room was good and wifi was free. Only downside was the noise from the bar to the rear which stays open late, take ear plugs, still a great hotel anyway.

Mediocre - 14/02/2018
Overall

Room was very nice, in a clean condition, well topped up with soaps etc. Breakfast buffet basic and the same every day: cold meats and cheese, cereals, sweet croissants and hard stale rolls. Juice and hot drinks restricted to one only! Hardly a breakfast to set you up for a day on the slopes... Afternoon tea non-existent - misleading advertising. Dinner started well with an excellent cold buffet of salads and titbits. Then plummetted into, at best, mediocre main courses, usually overcooked meat or fish. Same stale rolls. Some nice desserts. Service was friendly but inattentive. The waiter allowed us to choose a dish containing something we had stated we did not eat. Manageress unpleasant at the end when they overcharged us, and she summoned the staff member, then begrudgingly took it off the bill. Could have been tempted to stay there again if it was a good deal, but her attitude ruined it for us. Good access to the chair - 5 mins walk.

First time in Sauze d'Oulx - 24/02/2015
Overall

Fresh snow on arrival made for excellent conditions for the week. Although the hotel was conveniently situated for the lifts and everything was very clean, the hotel itself was rather tired, the food fairly basic and failed to accommodate one vegetarian in the party with any imagination or variety.

Good for the price - 27/01/2015
Overall

The hotel is well placed being very close to the main lift, Only a 200mtr walk uphill. There are good bars for après close by. The rooms are clean warm and well provided, the beds are a bit hard but we got used to them. The sound tends to travel into your room from the corridor as it is a tiled floor, but the management try to keep late night noise down. The food is very good and well served by the hard working Staff, lots of good wines are available and the hotel has a well stocked quaint bar. Don't expect the Ritz but this is a great hotel for the price and all the staff are welcoming and friendly . Tip the lift only goes to the second floor so if you don't want another flight to climb go for the lower floors. Boot room is on the ground floor and handy for a quick getaway.
