A good resort for beginners/intermediates and more experienced skiers alike. We stayed on the Route du Petit Plan in Chalet Les Lauzieres (capacity of 14 people) which was very convenient with a chair lift directly up to a green run into the main resort (also a good green run back with a recently opened bar on the way). As everyone says, it's a "backwards" resort with all the easier runs nearer the top. Best skiing is down to La Toura from the Glacier as there are some wonderful blues. The Glacier is mad and very windy but definitely worth going up there. The cable cars take about 30 mins to get you there so be prepared to stand in your ski boots for a while! I Would go back as it was lots of fun and some good skiing and boarding to be had.

Had a fantastic Christmas at the Hotel Amethyeste. Hans and all the staff were really hospitable, kind and welcoming. Skiing was great - fantastic conditions - only downside is that the choice was either green or black coming down from the mid-station - although loads of skiing at all levels are available higher up. On the plus side there are two lifts at the back of the hotel and you could ski back to the ski room. This is very convenient for families to be able to get back to our hotel easily. It was very enjoyable and would definitely go again.

Brilliant place. I’ve been there for 3 years in a row. The mountain is reverse gradient, so beginners can get to the peak and have lots of runs and come back down on the gondola.

Les Deux Alpes is a great resort for the young, or young at heart. Top quality snow is almost garanteed thanks to the glacier and, with one of the best board parks in Europe, it is a very snowboarder friendly resort. There are a multitude of apres ski options, and traditional restaurants that serve up some amazing local wines. Also bear in mind that your lift pass covers you for the heated local pool and saunas -great added value. Local bar 'the Secret' has great live music and a fun atmosphere. 'Smythies' is the party place to head to before an all nighter at 'L'Avalanche'.

A great resort for all types of skiers and snowboarders. The ski school was very friendly and fun and there’s Loads of variety in slopes, paths and pistes. This is a really good choice for families as it has lots of children’s facilities for all ages. Everything is in one place and I would certainly return and recommend it to anyone wanting excellent snow conditions. Our hotel the Aarlberg was superb, staff could not have been more helpful and happy. There are great views from the rooms onto the mountains and it is located in a quiet part of the village.
