Skiing in Golling
Golling best suits beginners due to its well prepared and broad pistes although more experienced skiers do have access to more diverse slopes. In particular, the Gaudi pistes are slalom runs with a time tracker, snowcross area, rollers and mogul fields which are a lot of fun. The panorama ski circuit is also a great way to make the most out of the area with 44km of pistes to explore.
Night skiing is also available in the Dachstein West ski area, situated on the valley side of Gosau and easily accessible from Golling and is open from 18.30 to 20.30. The bottom section of the valley turns into a night piste in which experienced skiers can be challenged on the red piste. Beginners will be more accommodated at Brumsiland near to the Hornspitzbahn valley lift station.
Dachstein West ski area has four snowparks to choose from to satisfy all kinds of freestylers. The Snowpark Dachstein West has features for both novices and pros. The other snowparks are the Ötscher Kids Park in Gosau, the youngsters freestyle park in Annaberg and the Rookie Park in Russbach.
