Aurinkorinne Apartments - Ruka, Finland
The Aurinkorinne Apartments are spacious, modern and furnished to a high standard – ideal for groups and families.
Unlike most of the accommodation in Ruka, the location is just west of the main village, in a peaceful setting among the pine trees. It’s 10 minutes' uphill walk to the centre, and there’s a t-bar lift close by that will take you straight to the main ski area. And at the end of the day, you can ski right back to your door. The apartments all come with well-equipped kitchenettes, ski lockers next to the front door and drying cabinets for all your gear, so you can wake up to warm ski boots. In the evenings, you can relax in your own private sauna or get cosy in front of the roaring log fire.
Ruka village is generally pretty laid back, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants to try if you fancy a break from cooking. There’s also a reasonably priced supermarket that's handy for stocking up on essentials.
When you're not skiing, you can spend a few hours at the bowling alley or indoor adventure play area. And definitely don’t miss out on trying some of the outdoor winter activities on offer too.
