Ski Lodge Aigle is in a perfect spot for keen skiers, families and party animals alike. It’s situated just off the first roundabout as you’re coming into Tignes le Lac and just 10m from the slopes. To access the ski lifts in the morning as well as the bars at night it’s just a short walk down a hill into town (2 to 3 mins walk), there is even access here for the main gondola that take you up towards Val d’Isere. From the top of that gondola you can either head down the back of that mountain into Val d’Isere or traverse across and down into Tignes Val Claret where you can head up to 3656 meters to the top of the snow-sure Grande Motte.
The Ski Lodge has a small bar for the guests only where you can buy drinks in the evening. The hotel is a modern and attractive building with a small pool and sauna.
The Espace Killy for me offers some of the best skiing in the world for all standards. You can easily book yourself a guide that can take you to untracked slopes and places where the average skier won’t be able to find….secret spots that only a local will know! Remember keep safe and rent a local professional. The Ski Lodge is the fantastic base for all Tignes adventures. L'Aigle du Montana - Tignes, France
If your ski trip itinerary’s all about packing in the piste time, this pick’s right on the money. It's just a few steps to the slopes, which makes getting up and out every morning a piece of cake. You’re in a pretty peaceful spot too – it’s about a 10 minutes’ walk to the resort centre, so you can head in for the après action then leave all the hustle and bustle behind when it’s time to hit the hay.
The hotel itself has heaps of character, from the rustic stone walls to the wooden balconies. Inside, everything’s light and bright with a few pops of colour here and there, and chunky wooden beams adds an alpine feel. Facilities-wise, you can get a good sweat on in the sauna before cooling off with a swim in the indoor pool, plus you can use the Hotel Village Montana’s facilities only a 1-minute stroll away. We’re talking a full-blown spa, heated outdoor pool, sun terrace and bar, so you’ve got plenty of options for unwinding once you’ve clicked out of the skis.
When it comes to food, you’ll start the day with a simple buffet breakfast. Then you've got a choice of three different restaurants for your evening meal if you upgrade to half board. Choose your starter and main from a menu, before rounding off with all-you-can-eat sweet treats from the dessert buffet. And if you're up for finishing the day off with your fave tipple in hand, you can pop to the Village Montana Hotel bar just opposite.
