Vaujany ski resort
While Alpe d’Huez ski domain is most well known for its amazing wintersports facilities, the atmosphere of Vaujany is another reason why the village continues to be popular. Rather than the long queues associated with larger resorts, Vaujany is quiet and unspoiled after being a home for farmimg families for a number of generations.

The ski season runs from December to April and all of the runs are incredibly well maintained, with ski cannons used during persistent dry spells.
Skiing in Vaujany
The Vaujany-Alpette cable car takes you from the village at 1250m up to the main Alpe d'Huez ski area 2050m in just minutes. From here you have a choice of cruisy blues back down to Vaujany or towards Oz en Oisans, or you can jump in the Alpette-Rousses cable cart up to 2800m for a selection of red pistes and to head up to the Pic Blanc glacier.
The Alpe d'Huez ski area offers a choice of 249 km of managed slopes of all skill levels. The slopes cover 2073m of altitude variant cutting through gulley’s and forests, to a multitude of lift and cable car options. Vaujany offers over 30 pistes of varying difficulty including 7 green runs, 11 blue, 9 red and 3 black.

Vaujany offers a wide variety of amazing attractions for all kinds of visitors, ranging from an international indoor ice rink to the Maison de la Faune museum, where you can learn all about the history of the area.
When it comes to food and drink, there are plenty of amazing options too. La Remise is one of the top eateries in the area, offering a great selection of woodfire-cooked pizzas, while Stief’s Steakhouse Cafe provides an outstanding assortment of meals and some mouth-watering Belgian beers.
