Flims Laax, also known as Laax, is only 2 hours from Zürich and can also be reached quickly from Basel and Friedrichshafen airports. Flims Laax is the largest linked ski area in Graubunden. Made up of three neighbouring resorts, Flims Laax and Falera each catering to a different type of guest. Laax is well-known amongst snowboarders and skiers, and is the perfect base for a week of exploring the runs and off-piste areas.

Snow conditions in Laax
There are 430 snow guns covering Laax's slopes with artificial snow that covers around 37% of the glaciers pistes. Adding that to the high altitude of natural snowfall for more guaranteed skiing during the winter season.
Apres-ski, restaurants and other activities in Laax
Flims is ideal for those more interested in winter walking and hiking as well as cross-country skiing and has a strong focus on wellness, whilst Falera is great for families looking for a peaceful location.
Laax is Europe's freestyle mecca, boasting five individual snowparks. These parks are: Beginner park, Ils Plauns, P60, NoName park and Vorab Glacier park. If freestyle events are for you, Laax hosts a number of events during the winter season. The Laax open hosted in January is Europe's largest and most prestigious freestyle event. The Laax Women's celebration days take place in March alongside the Kids Laax open and the snow league.
After a long day on the mountain, enjoy a couple of beers and some hearty Bavarian cuisine at the microbrewery Aktienbrauerei in Flims Waldhaus or head to Arena Flims for après drinks followed by dancing until the early hours in the club. Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the cakes on offer at Café La Punt in Falera. For something a little different, head to Flims where the restaurant Caverna is located in candlelit cellars over 430 years old!

Transfer time in Laax
Travelling to Laax from Zurich airport is extremely convenient with the LAAX shuttle. Running for the duration of the season on Thursdays, Saturdays and and Sundays. The shuttle stop is easily accessible and sits directly in front of the airport building. Reservations for this service are required at least 48 hours prior to departure and it provides an excellent, cost effecieant and easy way to transfer between the airport and resort.
Green inicatives in Laax
Laax has set itself an ambitious goal of being carbon neutral by 2030. Laax is already making significant changes to achieve this. Some of these changes included; Green Power: Since 2008, all ski lifts run entirely on carbon-neutral Swiss hydro and solar energy. On-Demand Lifts: The pioneering FlemXpress gondola launches only when requested, cutting energy use by 50%. Smart Kitchens: Resort hotels use real-time AI tracking systems to log and minimize food waste. Plus-Energy Buildings: Heavily insulated, solar-wrapped accommodations generate more annual electricity than they consume
