Courchevel set for revamp

Courchevel set for revamp People planning Courchevel ski holidays will soon be able to take advantage of a series of improvements taking place at the popular French resort.

As well as renovating ski lifts and providing easy-access ramps to the piste, officials at the world-renowned resort are to upgrade the destination's snowmaking system.

Due to be complete by next winter, the improvements will benefit those Britons planning a ski holiday in Courchevel.

Several of the resort's runs are to be regraded, including the Lac Bleu and Bouc Blan pistes, to cater for budding snowboarders, reports Snowboard club UK.

The resort operates a hands-free ski pass system, which makes is easier for people on ski holidays in Courchevel to get on the slopes.

Recently introduced, the passes can be accessed online, do not require a photograph and are checked electronically, which limits queues and means skiers can get out on the snow quicker.
