Snowboard stunts in Whistler

Snowboard stunts in Whistler If stunts are what you are after on the slopes, then you should consider a Whistler ski holiday at the end of this month.

The resort in Canada sees the return of the Sapient-Showcase Showdown on February 24th and 25th as adrenalin-fuelled snowboarders look to get their hands on $60,000 worth of prize money in total.

The showdown adopts a pipestyle format, with a series of rails, boxes and spines for the snowboarders to negotiate at the Night Superpipe location on Blackcomb Mountain.

The competition's promotions coordinator, Zoltan Katchanoski, commented: "We had some great feedback about last year's event from the athletes involved. We want to build on last year's success, so we listened to what the riders had to say."

The event has been running since 1998 and has always been a firm favourite among those enjoying a Whistler ski holiday.

In fact, anyone on a ski holiday in Whistler who is in the crowd has a chance to win many prizes themselves, so it's a win-win situation for everyone.
