Val Thorens toboggan treat
The ski resort can lay claim to the longest toboggan run in France, an impressive six kilometres.
It takes just eight minutes to reach the starting point, at a height of 3,000 metres, but the descent, which includes an overall drop of 700 metres, lasts a leisurely 45 minutes.
Families enjoying their Val Thorens ski holiday will be able to experience the thrills and spills of the toboggan treat, although children under the age of eight are not permitted on the run.
There is even a night-time run that takes place on Wednesday nights to make your Val Thorens ski holiday even more exciting and magical.
Special sledges, for those going solo or those accompanying a child, can be rented from the Val Thorens ski lift company, SETAM.
