Chalet Elisabeth Reviews

Sorry, Lech, your secret's out. You have the best snow, the best weather, the best kept pistes and, at Strolz, possibly the poshest boot and ski room in Austria. All this wrapped round a sweet village, with a river running through it. We stayed at the Elisabeth, now possibly being refurbished, and it was tremendous value just because it needed some tlc. But the rooms were comfortable and the meals excellent. We didn't need to eat out but there's everything from pizza to five-star in town and the mountain restaurants weren't over-priced for the quality. Such a big ski area, all the way to St Anton and beautifully maintained walks for elegant strolls.

We were a party of six, comprised of two pairs of over 50's with two sons in their late 20 s. We found Lech to be lovely, with wide and easy blue runs for the oldies, and plenty of reds if the boys wanted more excitement. For a change, we spent one day in St Anton - and one day was more than enough ! We found it crowded, the runs narrow, steep, slushy and very bumpy. Not enjoyable at all, although the apre-ski is most definitely much more extensive than In Lech, Chalet Hotel Elisabeth had everything we needed, the rooms were a good size and the food was exceptional. Well done Ski Total ! Apparently the Elisabeth is up for sale and Ski Total will not be there next year, which is a pity, as it is well placed for the town, and provided all the amenities that we needed. I'm sure some would be able to note faults in the hotel, but we found none that bothered us or spoilt the holiday.

First visit to Austria and certainly Won’t be the last. The chalet and ALL the staff were excellent. The food was excellent and the rooms were very comfortable. The ski area was excellent

We recently returned from a ski trip to Lech staying at the Hotel Elizabeth run by Ski Total. The resort had a fantastic range of skiing with St Anton covered by our lift pass when a change was preferred. The hotel had friendly staff and rooms which although simple were cleaned daily. The big issue which dominated the week was the mediocre standard of food provided. Portions were on the small side and food undercooked a little too often. The breakfast menu achieved a better level of catering although the inedible extra thick porridge became an item best avoided. The hotel had a wellness centre which included a pool. This was never heated and much smaller than on brochure picture.

We had a fantastic few days being hosted at this lovely, cosy property. The room was very spacious with a view across the river and mountains. The facilities here are really very good as well, with a swimming pool, sauna and wellness centre, and most importantly a well stocked bar open until the last guest has had enough! The food was excellent, with a choice of starters, mains and desserts all rounded off with a cheese board and lashings of wine. It is a very short walk down into the town and the ski lifts, and a short bus journey to the rest of the Arlberg resorts of Zurrs, St Christoph and St Anton.
