So that’s another awesome Telegraph Ski and Snowboard show over for another year! As the non-snow world counts down to Halloween parties in October, skiers and snowboarders in London wish the days away until the iconic Ski Show at Battersea Evolution on the last weekend of the month. With guaranteed ski fun, après style festivities, fresh new gear, fabulous offers and spectacular slopestyle demonstrations, this year had everything you’d expect from the Ski Show, and so much more. Awesome extras included celebrity appearances, ski film premieres, after parties and exercise classes to get involved with, if the line-up wasn’t enough already!
The Iglu Ski team kicked off winter in style and had one of the best Ski Show experiences at this year’s event. If you didn’t get a chance to attend in 2017, pencil it in for 2018 and stay tuned for news on next year’s show. Relive the best moments of the show with Iglu Ski’s 6 reasons why we loved the Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show.

1. Getting into the Austrian Après spirit with Visit Tirol
The countdown to the ski season really begins at the Ski Show. Even though we don’t get the chance to strap in and ski down snowy slopes, we have the opportunity to sample our favourite activities off the slopes including après ski and feasting on our favourite alpine food. The best place to do this is with Visit Tirol and reminisce about all the reasons we love ski holidays in Austria.

2. Watching GB’s finest riders on Mount Battersea
Throughout the 4 days of the Telegraph Ski and Snowboard show you could catch the slopestyle action at Mount Battersea from the incredible team of pro skiers and snowboarders. As well as regular demos there was the epic BRITS competition on Friday evening and Jimmy’s Big Air on Saturday.
3. Celebrity spotting
The Ski Show 2017 was a star packed event! Not only did David Hasselhoff attend the show on the Thursday afternoon for photo opportunities with Alpinresorts, but there were Rugby legends scrumming on the Mount Battersea slopes, Eddie the Eagle with Kicking Horse Powder Tours and snowboard superstar Travis Rice for the UK premiere of his new film, Depth Perception.
4. Buying new ski gear
One of the best things about the Telegraph Ski and Snowboard show is to see all the new ski and snowboard gear under one roof. If you’ve had your eye on a new ski jacket or thinking about buying a new snowboard you can try them out for size at the show and get expert advice from the brands.

5. Wine tasting with France Montagnes
We were lucky to attend a special wine sampling event with France Montagnes and learn about the different wines and delicacies from the French alpine regions. We can’t wait to head to France this winter to sample more wine and cheese in the mountains!

6. Meeting the ski tour operators
Iglu Ski has an excellent position in the UK ski market where we work with over 60 fantastic ski tour operators so that we can provide the best and widest selection of ski holidays to our customers, all of which that are protected by ABTA and ATOL. The Ski Show is a fantastic opportunity to catch up with our partner Tour Operators and learn more about their offerings for this winter... as well as enjoying some fun and games with our ski friends!
